Lockdown-related changes to the UK’s transport habits are not being sustained as restrictions begin to lift, data shows. Figures from the Department for Transport show that despite a spike in travel by bike and a dip in car usage during the pandemic, cycling and driving levels are returning to pre-lockdown levels.
